break time
After...geez I guess 6 weeks now...things are finally settling down to the point where I actually get the occasional weekend off and work less that 50 hours during the week. Wow. I forget what I used to do with my time (proof that I have no attention span, I guess).
The result naturally is that I find myself looking for creative outlets. The stage things are at, workwise, is pretty damn stifling. Go to meetings, write bland (blander, blandest is best) e-mail, answer questions, write documentation, write reports, summarize, wash, rinse, repeat, AAAAAAAH!
I think normally a healthy dose of programming clears that right up for me, but they don't let me write stuff from scratch anymore it seems (not since September anyway). So, to compensate I've:
- finally rolled out some pages for the club's web pages (only 6 months after buying the domain in the first place)
- edited up a poetry piece I started almost a year ago and haven't looked at in, uh, 8 months?
- asked therealjae if she'd lend me a livejournal code
So here I am. Plunking away at a live journal.
Well, no fresh ideas to jot down. I think my brain is tired. And what the heck, it's only a first entry anyway.

It's you!
Oh, and my C is 'minnaleigh'. :-)
