purplejavatroll , mouseman , and I went on a hike at Blackfoot Provincial Recreation Area out near Cooking Lake today. A whole bunch of photos posted as a result.

If you look closely at my Flickr feed, there are also pictures of the house and some random shots I somehow hadn't gotten around to posting previously.

Yeah, the snake picture turned out better than I'd hoped. I thought I would only get the body and not the head.

It was and the sky was just lovely. I'm amazed I've never been out there before and it's less than an hour away.
