Anyone who knows me may not be surprised to hear that I wear my heart on my sleeve.

While purplejavatroll has been working some extra time, I've been spending far too much time watching silly auditions on YouTube.  I think The Voice, * Has Talent, X Factor or whatever is actually lowering my IQ.  But I do like listening to people sing, so I guess.

Yeah, well, since about this time last year I've watched, hm, 13 series of Survivor. Which does not even have the claim to musical entertainment value. It's just, I dunno, predictable enough that I can do complicated knitting at the same time, plus maybe it makes me feel morally superior about how badly I would fail at the sneakiness and manipulation needed to do well on that show. (I'd also probably fall over and break something the first day or the first easy challenge and get med-evacked out before I got voted out, which is less cheering.)

To be honest I just like watching the auditions. The actual competitions after the first round I rarely look at.
